Humble apologies to anyone who thinks............'What has this got to do with Spain?'

Well, we have kitchens here too and we have fun and we have a sense of humour and a need to keep the grey cells active too.

Hope I've not upset anyone!!

Well Gina did'nt you do well, that is what you needed  someone to represent you  like an agent. Do not worry about the fiver. Spend it on something nice for yourself.   See what  a good agent I could be Pat

Why did I even look at this. Nearly 3 hours when I should have been preparing a presentation for work tomorrow.
Not sure about Ques 14 & especially 15. Also No. 16 has two possible answers
1. A stone                                               14 pounds    £14
2. A bicycle                                             Penny + Farthing   1d + ¼ d = 0.4166p + 0.1042p = 0.5209p !!
3. A man's name                                      Bob                         Shilling = 5p
4. A singer                                               Tenor                      = £10
5. A kind of pig                                       Guinea                     21 shillings = 21 x 5p £1.05 (£1 1s)
6. A leather worker                                 Tanner                     6d (12d = 1 shilling = 5p so 6d = 2.5p)
7. A part of a monkeys leg                   Ape-Knee        Half Penny 1/2d = 0.2084p
8. Sun, moon, Pluto                              3 Far Things    3 farthings 3/4d = 0.3126p
9. Royal head dress                             Crown                     5 shillings = 25p
10. 50% of panties                                 Nicker                     £1
11.Hit repeatedly                                    Pound                      £1
12. Unwell sea creature                   Sick Squid       £6
13. A garden in summer                   Flowerin’ = Florin   2 shillings = 10p
14. A Queen's share                                Half a Crown     2 shillings & 6d =12.5p
15. Will you do one for me ?                   Spend a Penny ?   1d = 0.4166p
16. A small Australian jumper                Joey                        fourpenny piece = 4d = 1.667p
                                                                                                or threepenny piece 3d = 1.25p

Assuming you use the fourpenny piece option for Ques 16, that gives you £33 12s 71/2d or £33 & 63.125p

Right.... Time for bed......................  mmmm ... "will you do one for me"....... mmm

Well done JJ I'm impressed.

I thought question 10 though was 50p (half a knicker) though I may be wrong.

Brings back memories of all the old coin names.

Well done DoubleJ, what an achievement. I'd better put you out of your misery on your answers.

Ooops. I've lost the answers.

Only Joking, would I DARE ??

Right let's see..... I think you had inside information, BTW

1. A stone                                               14 pounds    £14
2. A bicycle                                             Penny + Farthing   1d + ¼ d = 0.4166p + 0.1042p = 0.5209p !!

7. A part of a monkeys leg                   Ape-Knee        Half Penny 1/2d = 0.2084p
8. Sun, moon, Pluto                              3 Far Things    3 farthings 3/4d = 0.3126p
9. Royal head dress                             Crown                     5 shillings = 25p
10. 50% of panties                                 Nicker                     £1
11.Hit repeatedly                                    Pound                      £1
12. Unwell sea creature                   Sick Squid       £6
13. A garden in summer                   Flowerin’ = Florin   2 shillings = 10p
14. A Queen's share                                Half a Crown     2 shillings & 6d =12.5p
15. Will you do one for me ?                   Spend a Penny ?    1d = 0.4166p
16. A small Australian jumper                Joey                        fourpenny piece = 4d = 1.667p
                                                                                                or threepenny piece 3d = 1.25p

Assuming you use the fourpenny piece option for Ques 16, that gives you £33 12s 71/2d or £33 & 63.125p

So-o-o-o-o-o.... Semi's answer was correct for 10 .

No. 15 is maybe less obvious. Great answer though.

If I say answer for the total is actually £38 - 2 - 5 1/2 does it give you answer ??
