Iam buying a property on the mar menor golf resort i should complete Feb/Mar when i had property before in the same area, i cant remeber properly but is it who owns the property in Feb pays that years IBI bill torre pacheco is the town hall.

Jan 1st. In practice the bill is often shared pro rata between buyer and seller.

Supreme Court has recently established a doctrine on this, which states:
“ If no agreement is made otherwise, seller who pays IBI can request a proportional payment to the buyer, in accordance to time each of them owned the house during the last period" Period is annual and tax is levied on the 1st in January of each year.
