Happy May Day, what do YOU remember about your childhood days

May 1st is a special day of celebration in many countries. I was just talking with friends Denise who lives in Paris & Kumud who lives in India about their countries celebrations.
I remember when I was growing up in a beautiful village called Woodhouse Eaves in Leicestershire UK we were taught Maypole dancing which we performed at the village fete. Much tangling & hysterical laughter as you might imagine!
This is what we aimed to achieve, ha ha!! (We WERE only 7-8 yrs old when WE tried it!)
