Hi Gina,

We've just been through a nightmare sale...or not as it turned out! We are now having to put  our house in order to maintain an  efficient energy level !!!!!

Hi Tinto

Have you got to do a lot then? I hope your agent obtained a copy of the survey report for you. If you'd rather pm me for a chat I would be interested in why you have had to put your house in order unless there was any major problems.

Hi Gina,

I am presuming you meant to reply to me! ?  the survey on our house was fine..no problems.  We  would have sold to the first people who came to view our house . They were not the problem. At the point of exchange the  "gentleman" whose house we were buying  backed out. He then wanted another £16,000  which was £11,000 over his asking price!!

We are redoing 3 bathrooms, replacing back windows and doors and probably  replacing the boiler. It is 20 years old!! We'll need to do this for the next time we market the house. I'm dreading the upheavel!!

Hi Tish,

Sorry about that, just been to put my glasses on, bit of a blonde moment there. That is dispicable of the vendor doing that, I hope your agent disinstructed him. Well no consolation to you but if he sells again hope it gets downvalued. I've had greedy vendors in the past like that. What goes around comes around. But at point of exchange is just not on. What a nightmare for you. Couldn't you sell it now to save the kerffufle? You know that if you do put it on now that even if it doesn't sell straight away you have until Oct/Nov (that's what we are being told at the moment, could change) to have a hip. Just a thought to save you overspending on doing a lot of work or have you just decided to stay put for the time being after your ordeal? It really is appalling the way some people behave, they don't seem to have any worries about wrecking people's lives. Hope you will have better luck next time

Regards Gina

Thanks Gina. I think for now we will stay put. As it turned out  it was a Godsend that we didn't move. We were moving to Wiltshire, quite away from where we live in Surrey. My daughter had her first  baby on 22nd December (our first grandchild) and thanks to the wonderful medical care(not) she was very poorly afterwards and had to be readmitted to hospital on the 27th Dec.  It took her a long time to get better so it was just as well we were around. Besides, I am now a besotted Nana!! We would not like to live too far away from our gorgeous grand-daughter!!

This "hip"? thing is not going to last, in my opinion. There needs to be another way of reforming the selling practice in England. It is too easy for people to back out at the last minute with no penalties. The whole process is a nightmare. Time will tell!

Regards,

Tish.

PS. I'm also a "me, myself, and shopping" girl..........and blonde!!!!

Hi Tish,

I firmly believe everything is done for a reason and it turned out to be the case with you. Not a nice experience at all, I know, but wasn't meant to be. Had a nasty experience myself and didn't end up moving. Went for another house and 15 years later I look back and realise we had a lucky escape.

P.S. Congratulations on the birth of your new grand-daughter, she will love to have her nana close. So you'll shop til you drop (but these days it will be in mothercare?

Hi Tish

If anyone from Palmera properties looks in to see what is happening they are going to be a bit confused so I think we'd better start a happy ending thread, what do you think

P.S.

I PAID OUT ABOUT £15,500 POUNDS TO THESE BANDITS FOR A PROPERTY IN HONDON DE LOS FRAILES, THE DETAILS FOR THIS PROPERTY WERE WRONGLY ADVERTISED.I WAS ASSURRED I WOULD GET BACK MY MONEY WHEN I DECIDED TO CANCEL (THIS WAS IN 2005) I GOT BACK £5000 I MY EMAILS WERE BLOCKED TO KAREN DONOGHUE WHO WAS  SUPPOSEDLY SORTING OUT THIS MESS (ALL LIES). LAWYERS WON,'T OR CAN'T GIVE ME A STRAIGHT  ANSWER REGARDING WETHER THEY CAN GET BACK THE MONEY PLUS OF COURSE COMPENSATION WHICH I THINK SHOULD BE MANY THOUSANDS OF POUNDS.BUT WHAT REALLY IS ANNOYING OUR GOVERNMENT,EUROPEAN GOVERNMENT,AND THE SPANISH GOVERNMENT KNOW THIS TYPE OF ROBBERY IS HAPPENING AND IT MUST BE OK BECAUSE THEY DO NOTHING ABOUT IT.

Not wishing to alarm you, hope for your sake, that everything is going alright with your purchase.

Did you have an independant lawyer?

If not, and you used the lawyer included in Palmera Properties Fees.

Just make sure, that your property has Building Licence,Bank Guarantee, Licence for first Occupation, as the lawyer provided by Palmera are not working, for you but Palmera Properties.

I have alot of knowledge about Palmera Properties, who incidentally also trade as International Property Link (they will try and tell you they don't, however registration addresses are the same and they have tried to hide their tracks but we printed off the evidence before they tried to change their tracks)

Agents in the Uk are not getting paid from International property link and Palmera properties and many have refused to deal with them, some being owed many, many thousands of pounds. Thier ethcis are get money from customers at all costs, whether licences in place, or otherwise. they know exactly what they are doing.

Their laywers (who work for them) have sent alot of money to developers who did not have licences in place without putting in an escrow account (they do(did) not have one) and now refuse to sort their mess out. I know people waiting for in excess of £250,000 after 3 years still no joy. It is disgraceful and hard earned money that people save all their lives for is used as far as I am concerned illegally. (They have invested in land and assume it is clients money they have tied up, otherwise why not refund the money straigt away.)

Me, I invested in palmera properties and had nothing but lies, as many people on this forum have had. When they sold my property, the refused to give me the deposit the purchaser had handed to them(again illegal) saying to my lawyer they could not afford it and to wait for 3 months, even though they had it from the purchaser. I know this to have happended to several people, so I am not alone. They rob peter to pay paul every month.

I had properties that were no resemblance to the plans and artists drawings, swimming pools are no more than splash pools on some developments, some properties ended up half the size and they sneekily added it into their brochures without telling anyone.

If you are viewing this site, please warn others not to use either Palmera Properties or International Property Link as the more people are saved from this loosing money, the more they will have to close down and stop their activities.

I speak to a few lawyers in Spain and all have cases against Palmera Properties, some now proceeding to criminal cases against them.

Many, many staff have now left Palmera Properties and International Property Link, due to the things going on and sick of dealing with complaints, directors have left and all are trying to hide away.

PALMERA PROPERTIES......WHY DO YOU NOT COME ON THIS SITE AND DEFEND YOURSELF AND ANSWER OUR ALLEGATIONS IF YOU ARE INNOCENT..........YOU ARE GUILTY UNTIL YOU PAY ALL THESE CLIENTS MONEY BACK AND SORT THE MESS OUT.......NOT 1, BUT HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS OF CLIENTS some examples are La Perla Development , Balanegra in Almeria, and many many more.

I look forward to your response PALMERA.PROPERTIES (we know you read this )  ....otherwise all, please avoid using these terrible comanies
