Does anybody watch Spanish TV?. I wasn't going to bother with Sky as I think my Spanish would improve if I watch Spanish TV. Does anyone have an opinion on this and can anybody recommend any programmes worth watching?

Hi Smurfette

I only watch Spanish tv. I started off with Alla Tu, a very easy to follow game show, you don´t need to know what they are saying to follow it but you can soon pick up phrases etc and you´l be suprised how much you actually understand. Its on telecinco (5) every night at 8pm.

I also put subtitles on any programme that I can, this is great for learning how they pronounce things, also on some chanels you can change the language to original (ie english) listening with spanish subtitles is also a great help.

good luck

It's a great idea to put subtitles on if you have the option.
I don't have much time to watch TV, but when I do I try to watch at least an hour of Spanish TV - I have Sky as well just to relax in front of the TV every now and then.
