You can buy butane gas in most Cepsa and Repsol service stations along with a lot of other shops in Spain.

You do however either need a bottle to exchange that is second hand from a friend or bought or you need a contract from the supplier. To get a contract just tell the supplier it is for a portable appliance which is new and you will not need a inspection as you do for fixed appliances.

Supersers do not normally come with a tube or regulator, you can get that when you buy the appliance or from the gas supplier if is not a service station.

Hi , you can buy your gas in the local ferretaria at the end of the road (almoradi ave) near the town hall in the village. There is also a main gas distribution yard on the road , just over the flyover from the village out towards Dolores. If you are needing  a contract there is a cepsa office in Almoradi.

Hi all

Thanks for the replies.  Yes I would need a contract as we do not have an empty bottle.  What do you need to set up a contract for your first bottle of Gas.

Thanks again

Geraldine

Can anyone please advise.  A neighbour (and I suspect many others on our urb) has had a recent visit from some "gas appliance inspectors" who stated  that portable gas BBQs are now required by law (passed within the last few weeks or so) to be inspected (i.e. The tubing and regulator).  Can anyone throw any light on the the subject matter.

Many regards
