Just  returned from Alicante airport where we had arrived two hours twenty minutes early for flight to UK.

We were at terminal two along with what must have been the entire population of england, Ireland and anywhere else.

Desks 51 to 62 had tremendous queues and they were booking in ALL flights, there were no individual queues for specific flights. The tannoy was constantly announcing late arrivals to go to desk 51 and people and luggage were dashing madly around and tempers were blowing. It took us until the plane was announcing boarding to reach the check in desk, frazzled.

How's that for a 'cattle market?'........................................
give me Ryanair any day !!!

We hate Alicante airport, getting far too huge & it's bedlam. Can sympathise with you, Karen.

We prefer Murcia, much calmer & we're equidistant between both. Better timings for us too.

I always fly EasyJet and have never experienced any trouble at Alicant.  I find the check-in at terminal 2 good as you can park outside walk through doors to desk and normally back to the car in minutes.

Only time we had a clitch was when we dropped off Sister In Law & son off on a Monday morning.  When we arrived there was only one check-in desk open apart from speedy boarding.  By the time I returned from Ladies there were more desks opening (first flights out for the day) so only delayed for a few extra minutes.  Saw them to the elevators up to passport control and back out to car.

Karen, OH just said El Presidente will be needed in Spain to tell your community (one by one, of course, & always whilst you're cooking/baking)  that he cannot do anything about their Telmicro vanishing.
