Whats it like..... Camposol Community, Murcia.

I don't get the obsession some people seem to have about Camposol either you like it or you don't leave it at that

The OP was asking what is it like

IMO the only people who can advise realistically are those that live there now or those who own a holiday home and visit regularly

From what I read it is has its good and bad points (like everywhere), heavily populated with Brit expats and these are well catered for so if this is what you want - be happy

Remember nobody knows everyone and everything (many claim this but.........)

Those who have owned a property and left may have a historical views / memories but things move on, and so should they

Hugh ....nice one .Its good to see your using your neighbours unused facilities and keeping cost down.

We are thinking of re investing in another low cost Camposol house ie getting a run down house to refurbish at low cost. just as in "Homes under the hammer". We cant understand why more Brits dont do this.. Its also a bit of a challenge as well as being great fun. you should see the before and after shots of the two bed villa with complete flat underbuild we turned round.   Only down side is the Spanish purchasing and selling fees.

Can anyone recommend the best company (with the best prices) to install a pool?  We're coming over at the end of March to pick up our keys and to sort the house up but we'd also like to arrange for someone to meet us to discuss having a pool put in.

Piscina a Padilla has a very good reputation,  very experienced, and has built many pools on Camposol

He will also sort out the permissions etc

He is well established in the area, and also has a unit  which sells pool supplies.

you may well find cheaper firms , but be careful, as some of these firms fold up leaving you with a worthless guarantee, and no back up if you have problems in the years afterwards.

Camposol urbanization has it's own web site CRA it is Free to join you will get all the help you require just post on the forum welcome to Camposol urbanization( Camposol Residents Association).

like has already been said you take what you want from where ever you go. We have just purchased a villa on Campason having sold our apartment on Condado (which we loved). Is campasol perfect of cause not but our villa is fantastic there is a strong feeling of community and we cant wait to enjoy many happy holidays there.

If you speak to Vinnie at  "Another world properties" at his office in the town centre he knows all the best contacts for pools at Camposon. nice guy and really helpfull. Its a buyers market so shop about for the right deal.

Keep clear of british builders on campo ! Lots of cowboys  eeeh haaa.

CAMPOSOL also has a "community forum"  on this EOS website ( see forums above where you can view all the photos we uploaded)  Then post a message and it might come up with some info about good builders ...... best of all speak to home owners out at CAMPOSOL many of whom can tell you whos best for pools.
