Looking for second airconditioning unit.

We are looking for an airconditioning unit and prices seem to start from 500 euros. Any advice? This is for the bedroom. We already have one in lounge we bought years ago.
BTW we bought a gas heater (like a service heater only a bit ornate) and it certainly pushes out the heat. Should work out a lot cheaper and quieter than electric heaters.
