Rolley you don’t say where you are. That might help,  as I guess the contractor is local.

But a word of advice.

You will almost certainly need a ‘small works’ building licence’  (Licencia de Obra Menor)  from your town hall.  If you do, it is your responsibility not the contractor’s,  who does the work.

Johnx-apart from being a nice little earner, why does every little thing have to have a licence? Extensions ,garages, knocking dowm interior walls, converting an underbuild  etc, yes, understood, but putting up a shed, tiling, garden path, etc why on earth-its your own business   and taste  as long as it's not encroaching on anyone else.

Just how many people looking at EOS get licences for very minor works/ Do Spanish people do this or, as I have experienced, laugh at the notion!

No,  it’s the law of the land in Spain, I like  living here,  so I am very willing to accept it, if I was not in general, happy with the way things are, I would leave.

It's’s not my business whether people bother to get a licence or not, but I do know several ,   both Spaniards and others,  who have been fined, relatively heavily too.  Some of them did not know they needed a licence.

I was just pointing out the requirement  to save Rolley problems.
