Is there anywhere in the South Costa Blanca area where you can take olives to be processed into olive oil?

There is a processor in Alhama De Murcia, they won't process your olives and give you the oil back but they weigh yours and give you previously processed oil... very nice oil it is too.

If you exit the motorway (A7) at Alhama not the one at El Pozo factory the next one south the oil processor is the very first factory you come to on the right as you drive toward Alhama...its about 150 mtrs after you leave the motorway.

Alternatively if you come from the direction of Cartegena on the Cartegena - Alhama motorway as that motorway ends the factory is 150mtrs on the right ( you will pass over the A7 at the end of that motorway also.

Don't know the name or have a phone number sorry, but I have bought oil from there and it is very good.

Can anyone go and buy oil there or do you have to take olives? Can their oil be used for any cooking or dressing? This is all interesting. We pass the area often so will be looking out for the factory.

You can buy oil regardless of whether you take olives, the price varies with the market rate but the oil is very good for dressing or cooking...I cook and dress always with Extra Virgen Oil.
