What's the point of having an insurance which does not provide the cover you need and which does not pay out when you have a claim.  And remember if you had a claim against you, which the insurance would not cover, you will still be responsible.

I would suggest, unless your Spanish is good, that you look at a company which you can deal with in English and which provides a policy in English.  Linea Directa, Liberty Insurance, amongst others do so.  This is not a personal recommendation.

Tamsin

Although we have recently transferred our house cover to Linea Directa due to an attractive discount (being insured with them for motors), we have previously found Groupama to be excellent, with policies in English. My main broker is Philip Rayner on 965796357 based in Javea. I am  not a representative of anyone!

Beware of 'cheap' insurance.

Bit like buying a cheap second hand car, the price may be great but the car does not work,

(The only thing I would say is that I do not recommend is Knights Insurance Brokers.  If anyone really wants to know why I will email them the full reasons, but suffice to say they refused to return a years premium, which they took from my account,  for a policy which they had confirmed I had cancelled)
