3 Shot in Palomares

 I understand 3 people were shot dead in the village of Palomares (Costa Almeria near Mojacar) last week.  I believe a local farmer's son shot 3 gypsies who he accused of stealing from him.  Has anyone any further information on this?  Is anyone in that area or just come back?  We are going out to Palorames next weekend and obviously are slightly concerned.

 Thanks for that information - I wonder if anyone has actually been to Palomares in the last few days.  It is normally such a quite typical Spanish village.

 Meant to add that awful as it is, it is just one of those random events and the guy handed himself in straight away, so there is not a multiple murderer walking around the area!!

My wife and i were at our home in Palomares when this unfortunate event took place. Apart from a very prominant increased Guardia presence and the fiesta being cancelled there was no impact at all to the normal everyday life in the village.
