Signs of recovery?? Come on!!!! Are you serious?? Do you read the newspapers or listen to the news?? The cranes never went away as is absolutely normal in such a crash. There was always some building continuing and they are largely sold cos they are built to demand. The biggest builders have continued to build and even to sell. It does not mean the Market is turning or even levelling out. As a property owner I would like to be wrong but the economic situation in Spain is going to get worse in the short term. The wealth in Russia is concentrated into the bank accounts of too few people. They are not going to save Spain alone. Polaris world claims they sold 80 properties in two weeks in their recent auctions. Fine - but they still have plenty more at around 40000 euros. And this supposedly in the best area to buy in terms of investment.

Personally I quite liked Michel Thomas but you need to be aware that Spanish people find the way he pronounces some common words hilarious. The verb tener springs to mind where he stresses the wrong syllable. He was French I think and speaks a rather stilted Spanish. Nothing wrong with that you just have to be aware.

I do apologise because this is off topic but if you have no previous higher education studies you are entitled to a student loan. It is not income related. At the moment you pay this back when your income not joint income reaches a certain level. It is expected to attract a lot of pensioners but as someone said it is an unintended consequence of changes in funding. It may not last. I too did the diploma and have talked about it many times on here but I would have hesitated to pay the 5000 for the fool diploma. it is an opportunity and not cheeky. If you can use it.
