Ok I know it usually rains over Easter but what with March being so bad I thought we'd have a good run this year.  Not only has a forecast that looked great until yesterday changed to reflect clouds and rain, it's currently forecast to be sustantially warmer in London than in Spain

I don't know what your thoughts are but It seems to me the climate in Spain is less  predicatable these days.....

Hey ho, Spain is still great......We popped off to a specialist Bodega today in order to purchase some of our favourite Don PX.  It's an amasing dessert wine and is perfect for special occasions.  We also watched the Feria stalls being setup in Santiago de la Ribera whilst enjoy a coffee ;-)

I suppose the one consolation is; ours can only get better, theirs can only get worse. You're right though: Even the Spaniards are remarking on this winter being the longest and most disappointing in the recollection. Wherever we are it is a great shame when poor weather coincides with public holidays.

Sierra Nevada skiing season has been extended til the end of May I think...

Actually you can blame my new neighbour... every time he comes over here or lets his house to others the weather turns to rat-sh*t...

I think you have little understanding of weather or have had too much vino. Yes the forecast over Easter isnt great but this is quite common due to the time of year and change of seasons. Only a week or so ago we had temperatures in the 80s and there are always many days in the winter on the med coast that are very mild or warm. Contrary to belief Spain does not have wall to wall sunshine and is hot every day!, when you average it out, the weather is pretty consistent in the south east of Spain, so England will have a sunny warm easter, the fact that its news shows you how rare or suprising that is!! I know which climate i would live in any day!

Sorry that's not been my experience.....instead we used to have around 320 days sunshine but over the last couple of years the weather is definitely less predictable and there is more rain ;-) I guess a lot depends where you are in Spain but round here you used to be able to pretty much predict the weather ;-))

No Vino yet....;-). Luckily there's loads to do come rain or shine. It's just a pain if you plan a BBQ ;-)

As I say, even Spaniards are commenting on this winter's coolness, raininess and longevity: the same goes for British friends who have lived here many years. It is uncharacteristically unpredictable. Strangely I haven't seen end of season analysis by climatologists.

well it llooks like being around 80f all over Easter in the UK.   Nice for a few days, but wouldn't it be boring to have this weather all summer?.  Hopefully after Easter we will get some much needed rain move up from Spain and the conditions will be changable once  again in our green and pleasent land.

Could get use to this up at 7 went out for a bike ride 15 miles in the countryside lots of wildlife out ,the smell of good old fashioned muck spreading picked up some free range eggs from a farm

Breakfast on the deck off to work even had the roof down

The nice thing is that when you do get weather like this in the UK you do really apreciate it more

Those of us living on the Costa Del Sol will disagree with this.  Last winter was really bad.  3 months of almost uninteruppted torrential rain.  We've had a bit of rain this winter, but nothing too bad.

It's a shame for the tourists that the Easter weather has been poor so far though.

Can we arrange for your neighbour to be deported?!!   My daughter and her husband are over here for Easter after we told them it would be amazing this year, which is the 600th Anniversary of Semana Santa in Jumilla.  We are hoping it stops raining before 17.30, when the Visit to the Monuments is due to begin, but it's not looking good!

That's it!  The Daily Mail is gloating now. As if the grey skies, coolness AND RAIN isn't enough!

.........not for long I doubt?. Lovely as it is at the moment  here in the UK, we all know the cool weather will soon be back while Spain will bask in sunshine and warmth for the majority of the next 6 or 7 months!

I just got back from England and the weather was glorious there!  Torrential rain here in Manilva today.

Feeling very sorry for all the tourists with very soggy shorts and t-shirts here
