where to live

 Hi all,

I am moving to Alicante area next month and am taking on a long term rental. I only know the areas surrounding Villamartin but was looking for something a little different. I want to live near golf courses in a really nice upmarket area and ideally not too far from the coast. Can anybody offer me some suggestions please? Thankssssssss 

Are you looking to rent somewhere other than Alicante or Villa Martin?

What about Rojales (La Marquessa) near Quesada, and about 5 miles from the coast (Guardamar)? Rojales is approximately 40 mins south of Alicante. Its a lovely area with friendly people

We have a 2 bedroomed townhouse on Verdemar 4 and the roof terrace has views of  the Villamartin Course. Las Ramblas and Campoamor only 2 mins away.

property is cheap now but not forever.

Hi Barry - if you really want up market then the only place to look is the new Las Colinas de Campoamor resort which is only 10 minutes drive from Villamartin, but is totally in a class of it's own.  It is the best resort in the area - not cheap, but it has an exclusive beach club, gym, kids club, tennis, etc, etc and is breathtakingly beautiful.

Even if you decide not to buy or rent there, it is also a great place for lunch!

try roda golf only 10min drive from airpott  resterants bars and the beaches of the mar menor are

a 5 min drive or a15min walk on good well lit paths
