Justins' blog comparison of Zapatero and Mr Bean was probably a fair one. He is either a bare faced  liar or is living in La-La Land.

MEP Andreasen challenges Zapatero over Spanish land laws

Zapateros' bumbling reply to Martas' scathing speech leaves me in no doubt the man is totally out of touch with the problems in Spain and would be more suited to running some sort of banana Republic. He refers to Coastal Law when many of those affected live miles from the Coast.

Is he not aware of the environmental abuses in Lanzarote that have just been revealed?

http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/nature/building-craze-threatens-to-end-lanzarotes-biosphere-status-2020064.html

His interpretation of the workings of the country's Laws and   judicial system is that of some Utopian idyll  rather than the corrupt, outdated  and unfair system that exists. Even the judges do not appear to know what the laws are and when they do, they choose to ignore them.

Rounds one and two to Marta. It was a  'Brilliant' speech.

yes, it's all denial and bulls*hit coming from Zapatero, and that of course feeds through the laws and juditial system.  Who is most to blame though?, Zapatero himself?, perhaps the people of Spain for not kicking him out?, or those in the EU who let him get away with daylight robbery with the hopeless regulation and justice, while subsidising Spain when it continues to cheat many decent people by not even  implementing it's own out dated laws?

Marta Anderson is a brilliant lady. She is IMO, the only pro-active hope for all the corruptionthat has taken place in the property industry in Spain.

I think so too. She see's it like it is and shares the feelings of all those cheated. The fact she's virtually being ignored by Zapatero goes to show what chance the man in the street has of getting those who can make a difference to even listen!

As the saying goes (I think) None so deaf as those who will not hear.  or  ........" hear no evil, see no evil ....and do SFA even if I do!"
