Yes, we have received it, along with many others.  Looks a bit dodgy to me.

do not post here now as ACC is not an issue for me

But I did receive the e-mail hence looking at the ACC forum....it was not a blind copy which seems to illustrate that it has been sent by a  person who has just got a selection of e-mails together!

Huma Med maybe at risk in this credit crunch.....even Barclays Bank is!!!!...and the others

But if they do have problems they may go in to Administration which in Spain is like USA Chapter 12.....allows them time to sort out the problems......different to admin inUK....not always the end of the world!

Best next move if you are still in ACC is to talk to your lawyers on Monday

It could be the work of a disgrunttled employee that's not on the management side or owed lots of money in salary ! Their way of fighting back so to speak. Looks like it's sent from a Hotmail sort of address- Easy to do that.

We need to get the confirmation of bankruptcy from the solicitors we use.

Funny you mention Barclays...........just on the news now.

Actually it maybe a good thing for us if the insolventcy company / liquidators take over. We are at leased listed as creditors to be paid out aren't we ?

Does that sound right, I'm no expert on these matters !

Howdy Folks!!!

I recieved this email as well... and my guess is its not up to much, however Huma Med will probably go under soon, nothing surprises me any more. I got so sick of all this that I decided to blow the final payment I had to give Huma on a property in the "Good Old USA" went to the beautiful State of Maine (where there are no Spanish Yipeee!) and purchased a really nice house for less than €35k. The folks up in Eastern Maine are homely and good living! most are of Irish, Scottish and English decent . We spent 5 weeks there this summer on East Grand Lake and my kids cried when we had to go home, buying in the State of Maine is so easy, no mess, Town Hall records your Deeds, Lawyer charges approx $500 for transfer on signing and the Realtors do'nt mess around.. I'm sorry that I didnt do this 4 years ago when I parted with €73k to a bunch of Spanish Gypsies I never met, nor will ever see again!

"God Bless America....it saved my bacon and sanity.

Fly to Boston and 4 hours drive on the 95 North.

I also  have  received  the e-mail.  Looks dodgey  to me, no name on it.  Has anyone  replied  to  it?   I know  that they  have  cut  their staff,  which  company  isn't  at the moment.    I am  going  to  ignore it.    I  have been in contact   with  Huma this  week, so  I know  they  still  trading  at the moment.

A client of ours for whom we are handling a case against HUMA has received this e-mail.  It does not contain anything knwe, but it must come from someone in the company because they have provided us all with a list of  aprox. 100 affected clients.

This whole Huma thing is a mess.... They will proably wrap up shortly, and leave a lot of decent law abiding and honorable people stiffed!! In a way we should have expected this from the start, the Spanish dont even like us  (Irish included) at this stage even if I get a house I'll never darken the door..... I'm through with the Spanish!!!

Somewhat harsh I feel Paddy2!

Anyway, I thought you were sorted in the states?  There are a lot of Hispanics there so you'd better watch your back!

Only kidding.  I know exactly where you are coming from but don't let the antics of Huma colour your opinion of everyone in Spain - I have lived there briefly on two occasions and there are a lot of genuinely nice and trustworthy people there.

There is a cultural shift happening in the business world in Spain at the moment (in my opinion) where laws used to be regarded as guidelines and only to be used as a last resort.  Since 2005 however, Spain is being brought into line with the rest of mainstream Europe and they are making sure that I's are dotted and T's crossed so that they will pass scrutiny from Europe.

This is nowhere  more true than in property development where there have been a number of high profile scandals in recent years.  The Cuevas townhall and the Junta in Seville had to ensure that everything about Huma's application was completely above board.

Finally, there has been a lack of political will to see the ACC development completed and I am sure (again just my opinion) that there has been an element of party politics between Cuevas and Seville.  Some local town plans were approved by Seville and others were not.  I wonder how many of the ones that were approved were for town councils governed by the Partido Popular?  Cuevas was (last time I looked) a PP town council.

End of rant.

Yes I agree, maybe I'm a bit harsh on the old Spanish...

Anyway no Hispanics up in Eastern Maine (Stephen King Country..gulp!!) just pick-ups, checked shirts and plenty of good humoured Mainers!! I did speak to some friends over there about Huma and their antics in Spain and the Mainers were horrified at how people are being treated, as one friend reconed, if this happened in Danforth, Maine (pop 650) the place would be coming down with FBI...

But heres a thought, If I got my €73k back from these fools tommorow, I'd be able to buy 2 decent houses to let out in Houlton Maine...

Makes you think...eh!

I also received the sam e;mail and I contactedf  Pilar about it , she replied yesterday saying that it is completely untrue, they don't know who sent it and that Huma will be issuing a statement in the next few days.

Good afternoon Mrs. Conway

That is not true, that is a false information and at the moment we don´t
know who has sent is.
Huma is preparing an official comunicate explaining all this, as we know
this is worrying you all and it is not fair.
Again, we not in bankrupt and you will receive news from us in the next few
days.
sorry about the inconveniences this is caused to you,

kind regards
Pilar Rebolo

We shall see.

But surely you don't believe what HUMA say.  This must be the most worrying thing about it - if HUMA say they will contact everyone then obviously they won't - and if they say they arn't bankrupt then they probably are ( well with there track record thats what you would expect).!!!!!!

Hi All,

Yea I got one as well.   Did anyone notice that it came from a ghost.   No sending address.   Sounds like a disgruntled employee to me, or someone trying to throw everyone off the scent of getting their money back.   Well there is no official word for HUMA going to the wall, not just yet anyway.   I think this e mail was a bogie.

NO MORE SPAIN !! We have at last, after 4years approx, got our First Stage payment of around € 38,000.We did HAVE B/G, and the help of (as far as I am concered anyway) the most BRILLIANT LAWYER IN SPAIN. In uder 8 weeks, and by corsponding by e-mail only, the money went into our Euro Account at NatWest. The Bankers Draft was finally cleared last friday, when we breathed a HUGE sigh of relief.I cannot say how much better the world (not Spain of course)looks this week,at the beginning of Dec 08 we still did not know if trusting, another Spainish Lawyer was going to be yet again, good money after bad (A/Advisors,Paradors choice, just asked for another €500,befor they would consider any action,A/A still cannot explain what our first €625 were used for!!)but,we thought 'nothing ventured etc',and the rest is history,as they say.We are still pinching ourselves, and keeping our fingers crossed, for the pound sterlings demise.I know, that isnt helping any of you,and I really do feel for you,if anyone would like further info on this Lawyer, then please fell free to e/m me,would be very pleased to help. One last thank-you goes to johnfozard, who via E/O/S put us onto MIGUEL GONZALEZ,as I said,he was BRILL!! Kind Regards,Bagpuss

Dear Bagpuss

Thank you for your kind thanks.

It shows by swapping information on the forum and helping each other - we manage to get success for some of us.

Even though many of us are still battling - it is good to see the odd good news story and EOS actually works to help people.

Enjoy the rest of your life.

John
