I looked at that one, thanks. I just wondered if members could tell me local ones, must be so many members who use these wifi hotspots regularly when out on holiday rather than buy very expensive dongles.

Hi Spanishowner most MacDonalds provide wi-fi connections, would be a good idea if members could list them for reference.

I can add in Murcia area

Rose & Thistle in San Cayetano

Casa Pepes in Balsicas

Hi Roddy & Tracie

You wouldn't catch me in a McDonalds !  I've taken my young nieces to ones in the UK because that's all they want & the food has been terrible. Maybe it's not in Spain but I've no intention of going.

Your info however was much appreciated as I can tell friends with kids.

The others were miles away from me but would benefit others.

I believe there's a wi-fi hotspot in the main square in Torrevieja.  It's outside the church where the Belin is displayed each year.

I haven't used it personally but it's the only place I remember from a list printed on another forum.

I'm ordering a netbook from Santa at xmas so I'm hoping to try this out myself shortly.

Hi Spanishowner I quite agree that food is not very good, all I ever order is cafe con leche. The reason I listed the other locations was just an attempt to get the ball rolling perhaps thus helping members in all locations!

In Quesada try The Lime Bar as they have free WI-Fi internet access (above the Discount Electrical Warehouse) on Calle Los Arcos

Rayz bar on urb El Raso off the CV895 (lemon tree road) has free wifi, I'm here now ! Also it has three terminals but I can't remember how much, I think it's 10 mins 1 euro, anyway they have free wifi as long as you buy something. I've never eaten so many English breakfasts but, as they're only 2€ ,however can you resist. Bacon, egg, sausage, baked beans or tinned toms or grilled toms, mushrooms plus fried bread or toast.
