Help!!  Could anybody please tell me what the Spanish legal dates are for the seasons.  I am very eager to know what the date is for the end of Spring?

Kind Regards

Jill

 Ooopps!!!

"I think it is the same worldwide."

From Wikipedia.

June 21 is the 172nd day of the year (173rd in  leap years) in the Gregorian calender.  On non-leap years, this day marks the summer  solstice in the northern hemisphere  and the winter solstice in the southern hemisphere and this is the day of the year with the longest hours of daylight in the northern hemisphere and the shortest in the southern hemisphere.

Hi

The reason I ask is because I feel that my BG will rely on this information(plus one other breach of contract).  I have found the following related to british summer

British Summer Time Rules

(from UK Government - Department of Trade & Industry - DTi)

For 2003-2007 inclusive, the summer-time periods begin and end respectively on the following dates at 1.00am Greenwich Mean Time:

In 2003: the Sundays of 30 March and 26 October
In 2004: the Sundays of 28 March and 31 October
In 2005: the Sundays of 27 March and 30 October
In 2006: the Sundays of 26 March and 29 October
In 2007: the Sundays of 25 March and 28 October

If anybody could shed anyfurther light to this topic please do.  I am totally confused.  The Met office chaned the dates some time ago but I dont know if Spain did?

Hi Jill,

I'm not quite sure what you are looking for.

The dates you show below are the dates in the UK (only) when we alter our clocks.

We alter our clocks to allow us to take advantage of extra daylight hours in the dark days of winter. Then as summer begins   we alter them back again to come in line with the rest of Europe.

This is nothing to do with Spain. I am not aware of any other country on the same lines of latitude as ours which puts back it's clocks in winter, although it is possible.

As Maria said, summer in Spain officially starts on the 21st June and beside all that what sort of contract is so specific? If you explain a little more, possibly someone can help you.

 Edited to adjust font size.

Hi Sorry for being so vague.

I have bought off plan by Estepona.  A lot of people are trying to pull out of the development due to breach of contract.  The contract states that the work will commence at the end of Spring.  My Lawyer is being a bit of a pain by saying that neither myself or the others (all using different Lawyers will recieve the bank guarantee).  However Lexland are sure that they have proof that work did not start at this time.

I am just trying to find out as much as I can before I change Lawyers
