coming to spain

hi peeps,
am coming over to spain around 3rd week of spain with a friend of mine...looking to get work as entertainers guitar/vocals could anyone advise best area with most choice of venues to approach for work..also looking to rent long term apartment or similar in the same area... 2 x months for start and then possibly longer
