Hi My name is Mo, my husband John and I have bought a house on costa esuri near Ayamonte.We are waiting to complete but are having problems with health certificate for the pool and getting electricity .We have been advised that we can use developers electricity until it is sorted out, is this normal in spain? we should of completed in march last year and are getting real frustrated now as we just want to get in there.

Sorry but what is an FOL? the opening license for the pool has not been granted yet as there is a missing health certificate,the official electricity cannot be hired yet, as we have had no dealings in buying in spain we do not understand the legal side to it all.

Hi Mo, a FOL is the first licence of habitation. You shouldn't complete without it as you will be living illegally.

We do have first occupational license,do you think it is safe for us to complete without official electricity and without opening license for the pool.thank you for your help.

Why do not you have official electricity?

Hi Maria,

All we have been told by our solicitor is that the official electricity cannot be hired,is this normal?

That sounds like there is no First Occupation License in place. I hope I am wrong.
