Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced Short Term medical insurance provider in Spain (to cover a period of unemployment of around a month)?

A short term 1 month travel insurance policy maybe the best fix for you. Prices and medical cover will probably vary.
Other than that if you are an expat from the UK get a Global Health Insurance Card ‘’GHIC’’.

The line...you are quoting two different types of insurance ..medical insurance will pay for your treatment....Unemployment insurance will pay for your period of Unemployment..this type of insurance is normally very expensive and normally starts paying out after the first 30 days of sickness and has a maximum time limit of 6 / 12 /18 / 24 months the price you pay depends on the length of cover.
