My Husband and i will be moving to San Pedro area begining of next year(i have a job to go to)what are the chances of my Husband finding work,here  in the U.K he is a sales manager re paint and he speaks very little spanish,what advice would you give.We also would like any info possible re obtaining a Spanish mortgage

It will prove difficult to get a mortgage here until you have three to six months work experience here - that will be on employment contract and with three months payslips - if self employed then you would need two years accounts and tax returns.

Regarding working - difficult - only thing sales related is likley to be real estate based and it is not going through the best of times - most companies now seem to be working commission only and very difficult to make sales in that environment. Best suggestion is to get the language under the belt asap as he will only likely find himself bar/cleaning/labouring work and that type of thing utnil he has the lingo. Alternative find a UK business that needs to sell into Spain perhaps to British type business (if indeed that role of thing exists) - then again lots of people looking for that type of role.

Welcome - it is compliacted and always recommend renting here before buying if you are coming to live permanently - easy to make a mistake and costly too!!
