Hi,

I thought I would share my experience with trying to get my deposit back, in the hope that it may help someone else that is still in the situation I was in recently.

Approximately 3 years ago, I bought 2 OFF PLAN INVESTMENTS in GRANADA Spain that should have been completed by the beginning of 2014 but to this day are still not built!

I have tried desperately to get my money back from the developer but without any luck.
Fortunately I was introduced to a Spanish Lawyer who since meeting, has acted rigorously & professionally on my behalf.

I am delighted to say that this lawyer has managed to get my deposits back which ammounted to approximately €40'000.

If anyone is in the same unfortunate position that I was in, please get in touch with me & I will be more than happy to forward on contact details for the lawyer.

Hope this may help someone!

Very interested to know where in Granada the development is and which lawyer you used. Feel free to send me a message. Thanks.

Wow, StevieG49, if you were still buying multiple properties off-plan only 3 years ago you've either got balls of steel or brains of mush. Sorry to hear it went sour: qué sorpresa!

The reason I ask is that we are involved in a development fiasco in Granada.  Most interested to know if it is the same Town Hall where there are several cases against the former Mayor, while the current Mayor is claiming to be squeaky clean.  Not sure what there is to dislike about that.
