UK Non resident Ltd - a better solution?

Setting up an company in Spain or being autonomo can be prohibitive and I was just wondering as I am not very knowledgable on the matter if it would not be better for someone to set up a LTD company in the UK as a non- resident if their business is directed at clients outside of Spain. I say this because my friend has set up a business and it is directed at export to European countries, not Spain and I figured why not set up the company abroad as I believe it is much cheaper, faster and easier to get off the ground. from what I have reseached it all seems to be benefits.....Has anyone had any experience with UK non-resident Ltd companies and are there any pot holes one should be aware of?
