water charges Murcia

got my first water bill. 200 Euros and I haven't used any water yet. Does this include a re connection charge ? I know reconnecting electricity costs about that amount but wasn't aware it was the same for water. Aqua de Murcia did come out to "unseal" a capped pipe.

What's an average charge for water folks ?

Our holiday place is in Andalucia and we have a monthly charge of 18 euros whether we use it or not.  I think the water company charged us 200 euros to connect it.

 It must be a reconnection charge, meter connection or whatever.  We had a bill of around €50 a quarter if we didn't use the place (and water switched off).  Our average quarterly bill is now around €60 so not much difference if you are actually using water.  Even during the summer, with family staying for 6 weeks, our quarterly bill only went up to €78.

However, you bill should show all the details of the charge.  How much water have you actually used?  If you haven't been there but there is a charge for water used, then you will definitely need to see if you have a leak.  This could be somewhere outside.
