What's happened to Richie Allen from Talk Radio Europe

 The station were heavily distancing themselves from him yeterday and saying they had let him go, and were nothing to do with him......

Anybody know anything yet?

Another victim of the scotsmans ego wars?

 The evening after his last show whoever it was standing in for him seemed to say with glee that Richie had been dismissed that morning.  Then someone else today tried to gloss over the matter by saying that Richie´s contract had come to an end and that was that. Rubbish, why don´t they tell the truth. It is only a 2 bit Amatuer radio station in my opinion with a poor un professional approach and no idea what the listeners want.  I am not supporting Richie Allen as he was never one of my favorits but then again, none of them are but we ought to know why he was dismissed.  Noel

I didn't agree with much of Richie's political philosophy. Too much naive '60s hippie, dippie "love and peace" sentimentalizing. He particularly had a blind eye for the growth of radical Islam. He did however believe in free speech and allowed all to express their opinions using RFE's "no screening" on-line call system. Another weakness was his making the show available to all kinds of loony conspiracy theorists.

Need to return to the somewhat more skeptical, conservative approach of Maurice Boland. Barry Nathan would be my choice to replace him.
