the restaurant is nestled among pine trees at an altitude of 300 meters, where the air is clean and fresh. type of cuisine, serving traditional Spanish food, but with more sophistication than "ventas" and reasonably priced. great paella and grilled meats unmatched.

all home made: desserts and bread, made in a traditional Moorish oven.

The restaurant owners have made an incredible publicity. A comedy series for TV called "The Adventures of Moriana." you can see in youtube to practice your Spanish with murcian accent. looking for "Las aventuras de moriana" in youtube search

located in Alhama de Murcia on the climb to the mountain, about 4 miles from town.

Hi, Maureen

The restaurant that you're saying is another. This one is closer to alhama de murcia. No wild pigs, but very good food and atmosphere.

Hi There

On this recommend we went last week, the best way to get there is through Alhama, if you are coming from PW or Camposol or MCC go to the end of the Mway and then head for Alhama. At the roundabout as you arrive Alhama go straight across and up to the lights at the t junction. Turn left and bear right at the traffic lights in centre Alahama then follow your nose direction Pleigo.

After you have left Alhama you will see on the left another restaurant ***** de Oro continue on past this and wtach for a left turn where there are lots of small signposts one of which is for Nuevo Paraje de Moriana,  the name of the restaurant, take that left and continue on until you see the entrance on the right.... it's not too far.

The food is excellent and very Spanish, rustic, beautiful setting, woodburning Barbie loevely smells.

Don't know about Menu del Dia but it cost €68 for 4 and we had three courses all from menu card, coffee, water and a single glass of wine.
