hi, we are on phase 2 and have taken over an old sky box with a freeview card. I bought a tv with a digital tuner. The tv has tuned into spanish tv but the satellite bit does not seem to work. It keeps saying no signal. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Are you sure you are connected to a satellite dish pointing tot he UK TV satellites?

Are you sure the box works? Take it to someone who systems does work and check that out.

Sometime you have to help the Sky boxes boot up, as it may not be able to lock on to the initial frequency for its data download. So you change the frequency for this initial download (services, 4 0 1 selected, 2, chamge the frequency to 12129, 12051 or 12207 v, 27.5/ 2/3/ (it makes no difference which of those you use) save settings - if you do this process correctly you will see the date and time on the screen and channels will eventually come on - but you may still get a no signal message on channel 998 and a few others!)

There are cables feeding into electrical wiring bits for the satellite . This is a different box to the fuses, this is on the wall behind the front door when you open it, and below the fuse box. I do not see a dish on the roof, but there is cabling leaving the apartment. What did people on phase 1 do? Do we all need separate dishes? Thanks for replies.
What offer do sky have on?

Hi

I don't think you will get your sky box to work  on the cabling thats fitted in the apartment this for the community tv which you have to purchase a decoder box similar to  freeview in the uk from Polaris Telecome if you click on the link below it will give you details on what channels you receive and  I think they have a offer on at the moment of  installation at  180.euros + vat
