Jet Ski

Hi This is my first time posting on this website so hopefully will get a response.  I am looking for a two seater jet ski with trailer that is not too expensive but is not going to fall apart after one voyage.  Can you help. lyndac

Sorry for delay, had visitors staying.  I am in the Aguilas Murcia region but would be prepared to travel to view a jet ski in the Murcia or Almeria region.

I looked into buying one but lost interest when I found that you had to have public liability insurance & complete a course to allow you to legally use it + it's got to be registered   the same as any boat.  That lot added up to more than a cheap jet-ski !

Note New Spanish Law:

To be able to jet ski in Spain from 1 April 2002 you need a licence to go on the water and must be 16 or over.

If you are under 18 years old you must have a letter of authorisation from your parents or guardian and also a Personal Watercraft licence.

From 18 years + you just need to have a Personal Watercraft licence.

Also, All Jet Skiers must carry every document with them whilst on board at all times (licence, insurance, registration etc.)

Just found this, I didn't realise that you can't even hire one without a licence !

Hi there most sites in the UK now have similar rules and all insist on at least 3 rd party insurance,  which is more expensive than here in Spain.

If you want to do the coarse it is much cheaper to do it in uk, about £250 only takes 1 day
