Gas Barbecue

Hi Everyone

I'm looking to buy a gas barbecue in UK (there's some bargains to be had right now) and need to know whether the connectors for the gas cylanders/bottles are the same in Spain as the UK or should I just buy one in Spain?

If you purchase a gas bbq in the uk, you will have to purchase a new hose(date marked) in spain from most ferrataria. you will also need a regulating valve to suit the type of gas bottle that you decide to use, also available form the local ferrataria'

Buy hose from a busy ferreteria nd check that the date on the hose is at least 3 or 4 years ahead of now  2014-15. if its old stock the hose could be virtually out of date now. Think of the date as a change by date, it is not date of production date.

I am going to take a gas bbq over to Spain, what or where do you find a ferreteria?

A "Fereteria" is a hardware shop. They are everywhere in Spain.

A "Bricolaje" is a similar, bigger version selling a greater variety of stuff. They are normally based in shopping malls.
