Hello,

I am sure alot of you will have the same problem as I do of the Planters on the terrace (that house the aircon unit )that blocks the lovely views!! In my case it totally obscures the view from the master bedroom.

My lawyer brought this up with the developer but they wouldn't do anything, and I was told that once it was completed then the owners of each block could decide to have them replaced with a see- through barrier as the rest is, and have something much smaller to house the aircon unit.  Apart from shooting the architect, there was nothing else we could do!  I know it looks great from outside but really spoils the views inside.

Does anyone else feel the same? I am in block 6.

Has anyone looked into this or done anything about it?

Jo

I can forsee a problem with the large bins being placed in laybys next to the ramps to the garages. It is a shame thay could not be enclosed. The bins will overflow and be a haven for rats and flies and the smell as you drive into the garage might not be too fragrant either. This is something we may be able to get the community to construct if we can get a meeting where a vote can be arranged.

Hi Jo We have had to pay a builder to reduce the size of the planter in our top apartment. We were told by the developer that they can be replaced or knocked out but we are not allowed to change the face of the building. These big window boxes were not on the original block  plans when we challenged this our solicitors were told the developers are allowed to change this and we would lose if we went to court. This has cost us 800e. Gordon

Hi  all

We too were told that we could knock these down, our client suggested owners getting together who want this and maybe getting a price to do a few together as this would be cheaper and obviously he doesn´t want to be paying lots of money if a job lot will be cheaper for all concerned. The planter on block 8 ground floor blocksmost of the small views that you he does have.

HI All

We have asked Pilar for info on reducing the size of the planters but have been told we are not allowed to.

Does any one have any other info.

I am in Calanova this week and have spoken to Rachel from "The Constructors". She advises that no structural changes or deviations can be made from the approved design.

I expect that special permission can be sought but I do not know the procedure. Perhaps your abogados can help.
