A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE IN JUST 2 HOURS

Hi. Had a lovely dinner on Saturday at Sylvia Borrill.Her other guests from H N.had heard that the Lady  Mayor from Los Gallardos had said that B.M.S.would not be building the Commercial Centre & proposed a park area as an alternative.

Called in at B.M. S. today to ask the question.This was after seeing the new Huerta Nueva site by B.M.S.online , where a completely new advert shows 4 views of the new plans for the Com Centre.Meite(dont know how to spell it),the other young lady in there ,confirmed that these were the new plans, &that they were still waiting for legal paperwork  with permission to start .She said this could take between 2 & 9 months to arrive .At least it,s still a goer.

Bad news is that she confimed what Marinasol said that Bartolemy insists he will not paint the walls & will not plaster the concrete.Adecision needs to be made by the whole Community on how to proceed.Perhaps as many owners as possible can offer their opinions.

I thought the next steps were layed out during the last meeting with Marinasol ie Individual visits to BMS offices , sign the complaint book ,

joint visits to BMS offices, mass signing of complaint book, seek legal advice,  kick the c no I think I miss heared that bit.

Could Marinasol inform Mr Bartolemy that  the chances of him selling apartments with a few well placed posters, pointing out the defficits, could cost him more

than a lick of paint and a few buckets of cement render. Just a thought.

I'm with the Chairman and committee on this.    I think I've just run out of mmmmm ttttttttttttt and eeeeeeee on this keyboard

Anyway Haydn back to our slumbers like the rest of them, never mind Mate the Holiday makers will soon be back !

Also supporting Springsteen - I am thinking about what to do - honestly!!    I think we should try the route re the complaints book and just a general agitation, but if the worst comes to the worst, I think we need to ask Marinsol to arrange for the work to be done and then pay for it.  That would be better than everyone doing their own walls.

Brian and I will be flying out on the 1st March so will pop in to see you Haydn and Judy, and hope to see you both and your lovely dogs well.  We will also go into BMS office and agitate.

Hi all,  a possible alternative is to ask Marinasol to obtain 3 or 4 quotes for the work and then we would be in an informed position to approach BMS with a costed case on how they would benefit from the return on their investment i.e. for a small investment (if it is indeed a small investment!) they may improve the chances of selling the remaining apartments. 

If BMS still cannot see sense then, as Linda says, if the worst comes to the worst we will have the quotes at hand to consider whether the work can be arranged by Marinasol and paid for by the Community as a whole if in agreement.

Hi All,
We agree totally with Lewis's suggestion of getting some quotes for the work - not even sure we would need to go through Marinasol for this - in case they have "preferred" people in mind. We could start with the people who did the rendering and painting around 1B recently.

As for who pays then a straight division by the number of sold apartments seems the fairest - we all benefit from a nicer looking site - both aesthetically and financially.

Hi All, good to see that Haydn and the other residents are getting some feed back on this particular problem.

One word of warning on trying to cut Marinasol out, think about how you will collect the money from the other occupiers, Marinasol have the

capability to collect from all, including BMS !
