Hi all,  a possible alternative is to ask Marinasol to obtain 3 or 4 quotes for the work and then we would be in an informed position to approach BMS with a costed case on how they would benefit from the return on their investment i.e. for a small investment (if it is indeed a small investment!) they may improve the chances of selling the remaining apartments.

If BMS still cannot see sense then, as Linda says, if the worst comes to the worst we will have the quotes at hand to consider whether the work can be arranged by Marinasol and paid for by the Community as a whole if in agreement.

See you all again soon,

Lewis

Hi all, I purchased a few sets of the shutter clips that you are talking about from someone who lives on Los Naranjas back in May.

You really need to buy them in pairs one for either end of the shutter. I seem to recall they cost me about 10 - 15 euros per pair.  I've also seen an advert for them outside the English Supermarket in Mojacar playa- that was back in July though.  Need to be careful if you buy them, whilst they are a quick fix they can be a little tricky to use if you have sliding Mozie blinds as they slot into the gap between the shutter and the shutter frame.  This gets partially obscured at one end by the Mozie blinds.

I can confirm that they do work and prevent anyone from sliding the shutters up.  As said before a good first line of defence.

Hi Dave,

My wife and I arranged wills in July.  They cost 140 euros each and it took one pre-arranged trip to our Sols in Vera which included a 20 minute trip to the Notary's office down the road.  Couldn't have been easier (Notary will need to see your passports).

Hi all,  I'll have to remember to keep a better eye on my bank a/c.  Looks like water, gas and 100 euro for Marinasol have all gone out in recent days.  I've haven't heard a peep from Marinasol but will be about next Thursday so more than happy to come along to the meeting.

Just heard that electricity hasn't been connected this week and Builders will be back Monday to swop it over from builders elec to the designated supplier.

regards, Lewis

Hi all, I hear from Sols and Medsea that builders are leaving the site at the end of the week and tomorrow and Friday will be disconnecting everyone from the "builders" electricty connection.  The plan is to get the electricity company connections in place, again, tomorrow and Friday.  Hope this goes well! as we are due out on Sunday and don't fancy having no electricity (wife likes her cuppa in the morning).

Any updates over the next two days as to how this is proceeding would be much appreciated.

regards, Lewis
