I don't know if anyone has mentioned this previously but if you buy Octobers edition of "Spanish Homes Magazine" there is a an eight page article about Jumilla, Santa ana gets a substancial mention. The article reads very positive.

We returned from Santa ana a few weeks ago and after speaking to staff and my agent apart from the delays I have no worries.

We also visited a SanJose site near Villa Martin and we were impressed by the finish. We spoke to some of the residents who said they had been through similiar delays but all went well in the end.

Hi Mark and Paula

Thanks for letting us know.  I rushed round to Sainsbury's, but they didn't have any magazines about Spain, only Living France or something like that!  I will now have to wait until tomorrow to go to WH Smith.  Did the article include an interview and photo (hope the photo was a small one!)? If so it was about John and me!  I was sent a questionnaire which I completed and sent off to a journalist from Spanish Homes magazine.  I am supposed to be getting a free copy so have just sent him an email asking where it is!

I also have to watch Run Fat Boy Run this week, as I was an extra in it because I belong to a running club.  (No, I wasn't the Fat Boy!  A friend saw it but didn't spot me but I still want to see it.  It would be good to appear in the magazine even if I don't appear in the film!)  I won't charge fellow SADM buyers for my autograph!

The answers I gave were based on our visit to Santa Ana in March, however we too visited in September and came back feeling very positive.  Can't wait until we can move out there!

Sue

Hi Sue & John,

Glad you got back okay. We also had a day of bad weather in Santa Pola after we dropped you off in Jumilla.

To everybody else,

We were in Jumilla at the same time as Sue and John and after visiting the site still think we are on to a good thing.

Have faith all of you in the development .

Chris & David

Hi GAL

Thanks for making me laugh!  When we start running in Jumilla, we are hoping to run round the golf courses rather than up the road to Santa Ana.

Mark and Paul, as I am more of a sprinter, you won't have to run too far to catch me up!  The funny thing about filming was that we were supposed to be running in a marathon but as we only had to run about 200 metres at a time, everybody (especially the men!) sprinted past the cameras!

Perhaps somebody can write a film script set in Santa Ana, then we can all become film extras?

Sue

Hi GAL

I didn't know about Darren until John decided to buy the magazine and I was able to read the article properly, instead of having a quick look in WH Smith!  There was me, thinking I was the only famous one amongst us!

Do you know Tom Ellis from Cork, who was also featured and who is buying at SADM?

Sue

Hi GAL

How are things with you?  Meant to ask you whether Darren and Michelle have moved, as he has been unusually quiet recently!   The article seemed to suggest that he was living in Spain, but you know what journalists can be like ......!! (Apologies to Vernon if he reads this - you are obviously the exception!)

When are you next due to visit Santa Ana?  We haven't got anything booked, but may go in March, which will be John's birthday holiday.

Sue

Hiya, sorry, due to the adverse attention we received on here we no longer post however, all is well in our camp and yes......finally we are out in Spain and the business is up and running. We have moved to our other property in Mar Menor for the time being as our Amoploa is not scheduled for completion now much before Dec 2008 and our business associates/ client base dictates us to be out there now. We still have our apartment in Lytham should we need to pop back (I often do for business meetings with IR and clients). Rachel will also be joining us out there in the New Year - all hands to the pumps I think they say. We're in contact with D&L and they too will be out here also very shortly.....so gradually the 'ex-pat's' brigade begins.

For those that know us, in place of the 'Safe Pair of Hands' publication, as from the New Year, we will be pubishing fortnightly updates on our website regarding SADM including pictures, if anyone would like us to regularly drop them a progress report on a specific property, please drop us a line and we'll do our best to keep you updated with pictures / reports etc.

Great to see the article and your contribution........I certainly will need therapy by the time completion comes around ;-)

On a social side.....I'm certainly appreciating the weather change already.

Keep in touch

Darren & Michelle

Hi Darren & Michelle

I think you spoke to soon Darren.  The Gota Fria arrived with a vengeance last  and it is literally all hands to the pump this morning  (We have 2 wells that were empty yesterday. Today we are pumping water like crazy).

Good luck to you both in your ventures.

The article you wrote in on ' Driving in Spain' in TIM magazine was pretty good.

Hi Darren & Michelle

We are trying not to be too jealous of your move to Spain - and at least we had a lovely day today in London, going out for a long walk and then sitting outside a pub with a glass of vino, which isn't bad for October!  Having said that, we are really looking forward to our week's holiday in November on the Costa del Sol, that we booked earlier in the year.

I have decided to do a new course on Seated Acupressure, partly so that I can get treatments myself, as the waiting for completion is certainly stressful!

Will you be sending email updates from your website, like the ones Justin does for Eye on Spain?

Good luck to you both and Rachel in your new venture.  Are Gal and the Laird going to be staying near you too initially?  Hopefully it won't be too long before we are all neighbours in SADM!

Sue

Hi Sue

Seated Accupressure, you have to be having a laugh! Isn't that just a polite way of saying sitting on your arse! Isn't never cured anything for me only increased the piles.

Wish I'd thought of it as a way of making money!!!

Cheers

Good evening M'Lord

I think you are being a little bit cheeky!   I'm sure M'Lady wouldn't mind having a back/neck/shoulders and head massage after an exhausting day sitting in the sun drinking vino, and I am hoping lots of golfers would appreciate their aching muscles being massaged at the 19th hole.  As for piles - with a bit of luck I will make piles of money!

You won't make any money unless you call it what it is!! Massage.  Seated accupressure sounds positively hippy.

Just my opinion of course. Cheers

Well, I am a child of the 60s!  Thanks for your advice though, and do you fancy a massage or seated acupressure treatment some time?!
