EASYJET HAVE ADDED EXTRA ITEMS TO COMPLETE FOR API

Hi all, we will be visiting in the not to distant future hopefully and we were wondering if anyone could recommend some accomodation.

Hi Carl & Ann, We stay at Linda Neededhams its very near Jumilla and Her and her husband  are very friendly and have a wealth of knowledge about the area ect. They have a lovely place too! Linda posts on this site so you can P.M. her. Florence&Dave Higgins R10 No5

I would also recommend Linda's house is lovely very comfortable and great value, only about 15 mins to Santa Ana and Jumilla.

Many thanks to you both for the flattering recommendation.  I hope you are both well and your respective partners also, not forgetting Mum  Arlene.

Of course if you are sad people like John and me, and don't drive, unfortunately Linda and Dave's lovely house is off the beaten track.  There are a couple of hotels in Jumilla which are reasonable, although you don't get the benefit of Linda and Dave's good company!  PM me for further details.

By the way, Linda, where were you last week when there was that torrential rain?  We had taken the bus to Hellin so missed most of it, and it wasn't too bad there, though we could see there had been heavy rain when we got back to Jumilla plus we saw the pictures in the papers the following day.

I was actually indoors trying to batten down the hatches and  trying to get all the garden furniture in, put up the roof on the car, all at the same time whilst dodging the biggest hailstones Ive ever seen in my life.

Well, after all the concerns about licences, bank guarantees etc, are you now saying that we have got it wrong about the lovely weather in Spain?

John and I certainly seem to have been lucky while we have been staying in Jumilla this year, as the weather was mainly very good this time and also when we stayed earlier in the year!

Back home in England now - feeling the cold, and wishing we were still in Spain!

Hi Sue 
The weather patterns have changed a lot over the last five or six years and more noticably this year but I think the same can be said for most parts of the world.  Rain, high winds when we dont really expect to get any ect., ect.

 We were in Alicante with Vera and Kevin in August and all of a sudden the heavens opened for five minutes the sun came out afterwards and an hour later you would never have known it had rained.  It has been far more humid here this year than one would normally expect. 

It has been cloudy and raining on and off all week and my brother in law called from Marbella where he lives and said they had the worst storm he had ever seen in his life this morning.  The hailstones where the size of tennis balls he said and everything on his patio, including the shutters for the windows, is wrecked.  He said cars were write offs with hailstone damage, window wipers gone etc. and he said the streets were like rivers and it lasted about 15 minutes.

We do always expect Gota Frias but not usually until late October.  Its when the warm winds meet the cold winds at the turn of the season.   Sounds like doom and gloom but its not just a lot more extremes this year and we had a wonderful summer.
