Playa Blanca - Lanzarote

Hi all,

i was chatting to a freind of mine who has been using various forums for sometime now and recently had a burglary at his house while he was away.

when they checked they found that they had posted there dates on the forum site that he was going away.

as you know many of us have got where we live on these sites and some have there surnames as well. there are some very nasty and clever people out there so please take care and try not to post the dates that  you going to be out of the country otherwise you might as well leave your front door open. on one of the other forums there is actually a calendar that shows when people are not at there home.

please be careful.

about a 100 pairs of eyes watching over our place whilst we are travelling

Is it true the loos don't come with locks on the doors and we have to pay extra if we want them?

Yes, you are correct in assuming locks on toilets are 'extras'. I'd suggest people fit their own, of if not, ask someone to do it for them, will be a lot more cost effective that way. Personally, we don't use locks at home so no need in Spain however, if a property is for Let, could be well worth installing them, i'd still opt for a security door chain in that case as most locks are made so as to be able to open from the outside anyway.

Not to worry about August, we'll meet again before we go out I'm sure !!!! there's another good turnout for this one again, as more and more people become keen on meeting their future neighbours and sharing experiences / challenges. Got to thank Rachel for this one. Also, I'm meeting with SJG shortly and hopefully will have some news to share at the get together....I'll let you know by PM.
