I think too many posts lately are depressing so I would like to deliver good news and anyone who doesn't agree reply under 'bad news''.

2 new terminals now in the supermarket which are areanet.

No happy hour now but much better to have 3 euro pint at night (2.70 with card) when we can now go out at  night when something is happening (band, quiz night etc) instead of 6-8 when we would all rather be on patio with our own cheap beer.

Still got great golf course and work still being done removing tumbleweeds and flowering shrubs still being planted.

Have a bench by driving range and 1st tee and hopefully on each tee.

Breakfasts in restaurant at 8 euros (a bit dear) and menu at 10 euros.

Meeting at 1900 every Wednesday to arrange golf and 1st society at 1400 on Friday 29th.

Anyone not happy go to 'bad news'.

Barry & Sue

Hi Barry and Sue

Thanks for the update.  I am going to be a neighbour of yours (hopefully) as I am jumping ship from the Terrazas site and opting for apartment 1007 on Condado.  I already have an apartment on Condado and was buying on Terrazas but in view of the current climate and the fact that my apartment hasn't even been started on Terrazas and the fact, which is the most important fact, We absolutely love it on Condado...... Hopefully we should be completing soon if Polaris can pull their finger out......

is the club house (19th hole) ready yet or any plans for the immediate future?

Great to read a positive thread. By the sound of Barry's post, it would seem that work on tidying the site and improving the services on there, are still progressing, despite the problems that PW are currently suffering.

Also noted is that if more people like Jackie take the option of completing on CDA, and not waiting for possible problems on sites not yet built, occupancy levels will rise, and that in turn will lead to increased demand and support for more services, so we all win.

 Hi All,

Polaris are offering EVERYONE on Terrazas the option of moving to Condado and I have taken the plunge as well. Considering the Signature course is stunning and Condado is very tidy, has great potential and is miles ahead of Terrazas I think there will be hoards of people doing the same. This can only mean that facilities will accelerate over the next 12 months.

PS - Despite all the bad news surrounding the Polaris financial situation I am always pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff.

I cant wait to get back out to complete. Front line penthouse, 3rd floor, amazing view over the course, 5 mins from town centre and 5 mins from 1st tee - whats NOT to like.

I think if we take CDA in isolation and be selfish, CDA can actually benefit from the currenr PW situation.

The news that all Terrazas potential owners are being offered property on CDA instead is brilliant news for the resort, and will obviously creat a lot of 'new' sales over the coming months. A lot of the empty property will be occupied, there will be more money spent at the golf course and shops etc, and the development will really mature very quickly.

Also PW get a huge injection of cash, in a short period to ease their problems. A clever ploy perhaps ?

Tez,

You are on something or I ll have a pint of what you are drinking. Dont talk to me about PW. An absolute disgrace they are and you are getting the full works simply because it suits them, Wake up and smell the coffee. Do you have a bg for a start or your building licence for Terrazas. You have given them a loophole out of Terrazas but I hope it works for you. I for one wont be switching even though my appt has not been started and I was suppose to be neighbours with the SMIV'S.  Well seeing PW BENEFIT LETS SEE what happens when you switch. I am absolutely disgusted with them and I am not alone

Nice to hear good news...have to say all the news on the golf course I have seen has been good.  But it will be nice to have a beer (outside happy hour) at a reasonable price and the more people on the resort the better.

After reading many of the depressing threads over the past few weeks I half thought the place would be gone by the time I got back over.

Hi all

The good news..!

We came back from a long weekend last week Jan 15-18th. On Sunday I played the course in glorious sunshine with Bob & Pat from Kent and Tom from Denmark at the 30 euro 'twilight offer'. We all went back with partners to the bar for pints at 2.50 euro a pop during happy hour and went next door for a decent meal (thanks Tom!!). Whats not to like about this ?

For the record, the course is great - very playable with good tricky greens. Its beautifully presented with some lovely views across the mountains and lakes. We played off the yellow tees - its not a monster by any means but as the greens are so well protected and undulating the approach shots are the key to success. Will definitely tee it up on the back tees next time. I'm a 4-handicapper from a generally windswept links course in Dublin and I would highly recommend it as a test of golf ... cant wait to get out again around Easter.

Cheer up everyone .. !!

Gary

I thought this site was for the GOOD NEWS

As I have stated before.

Polaris is not the only company  that has ben badly hit by the world wide financial drop.

Do people honestly think that PW is deliberatly not ccontinuing  with the build

cos if you do you are very mistaken

My friend bought with a very reputable builder in Costa Del Sol about the same time as us & like us ibought  off plan.

Her apartment is also a two bed but costs almost 3 times as much as ours

The plans showed three phases along with a shoping mall to include a Dr`s Surgery & chemist.

This phase was to be completed the same time as the first phase of propertys along with  completion  of the roads & street  lighting

She completed last year even though the roads were not finished & the  strret lighting wasnt working.

To date only a small section of lighting is now available. There are no shops etc.

The second phase was staeted but not completed so the site now looks like a bulders yard & only 1 third of the completed propertys were sold. though they continued to take 1st deposits on the second & third phase

In my friends words " it is so dark & eerie t I am afraid to go over & stay alone. which I had intended to do

When I look at the Polaris web site for Condado I am very jealose & wish I bought there instead."

So though I do feel very sorry  for those of you who are still waiting for their property to be buildt, please please stop blaming Polaris

This non build also applys to housing sites here in the UK too.

Jan
