I was in Spain at Xmas and the area is a building site with bargains everywhere you look. Mojacar is now very cheap to buy apartments and with the pound . euro rate if you get your money back then you have a good choice of the way ahead.

Ohh goody, goody, i bet the house special is that well known spanish dish of broken well shafted leg of lamb with a humble pie to finnish,,,the tourists favorite..

50k Euros off 2 bed apartment in Mojacar - before the fall in prices you could not get a 2 bedroom apartment for less than 185K euros

The property for 185k euros would have cost £125k, now it costs £168k

£43k more     thats part of the reason why prices have dropped  by e50k. not bargins.

Agree jack but anyone getting a refund from HUMA will be paid in euros so it is a good time to buy if you wish

Only just found out today that Aldea Advisors no longer have a office in Vera any more,
We just contacted them for an appointment on Jan. 23rd or the 26th at Vera and the reply that we received was that we can still have a appointment but it must be at there office in Torrecieja.
(Thanks a lot for letting us know).
We fly out on Thursday the 22nd Jan. 09.
Going to check out Tabernas site as our property should be ready apparently in June/July 09. (So they say)
Huma has teamed up with another builder which as we were told by Aldea should prompt the banks to be forthcoming with our new bank guarantee .
Aldea have in December had our renewed guarantee for our first payment which they are hanging onto until the new one arrives for the total amount paid including the initial deposit.
Going to contact Paul Roach about possibility of taking us to see Aldea at Torrecieja,
We are staying for a week at Vera in a apartment and may well look in at Mazarron

Do you mean that Huma have changed the builder at OTCC

From the start it was different from ACC -the builder at ACC  was Ferrovial which is one of the biggest in Spain and they were not building OTCC

Huma Indalo SL are developers and employ a building company to actually build the properties for them

Do not see what difference it makes to getting individual guarantees from Vitalicio Seguros as compared with the group guarantee which the policy refers to

or have you been told that Huma Indalo SL now have a partner for the whole development?

Dear Mr Palethorpe,
The last news that we have regarding TCC it was in a meeting that we had with Huma Mediterraneo, at the beginning of diciember in which they introduced us to their new partner, who seems to be a very reliable company. They explained us that because of this agrement between Huma and the new partner they was going to have from the banks enough funds to go ahead with the development and to cover the cost of the news bank guarantee. It is supposed that we are going to have more news during this month, and as soon as we receive it, we will contact with our clients to let them know.
Regarding the renewal of your bank guarantee, we have obtained it before Christmas, so do not worry about it.

First good news for you about you BG being renewed and a very interesting letter

Have you asked who the new partner is as it would be interesting to know?

Most developers everywhere are mothballing their schemes where they can and that includes Uk as well as most of EU...all because of the recession and credit crunch

I mean by mothballing that they will only build what they have sold and facilities to match those sold [ have to do this to get the LFO]  

One way or another everyone will be affected so your news seems to indicate that OTCC may not be mothballed to the same extent as some other developments-ACC will certainly not restart in the foreseable future

Suspect that after your post Huma will get a lot of calls and e-mails!!!

Whilst from my personal point of view I am certainly in a much better position than I was 12 months ago I think everyone who has changed over from ACC will not be completely at ease until their property is built and the LFO issued

2009 has been a huge financial upheaval with many developers going into administration so one can at least  look on our situation ,from a pragmatic view ,that at least it is on going

Have just heard from our solicitor. She says that Huma Med could declare themselves insolvent and by doing this that could protect other projects such as Oasis. As far as she knows, nothing has happened yet but it could happen. What a mess!

Ah well, that's all right then - as long as it doesn't affect YOU!  Apart from that, do you really think a slimeball family like that will hesitate to leave you high and dry at Oasis Tabernas?  Huma Mediterraneo and Huma Indalo are the same people FFS!

My solicitor told me that should the Huma Mediterraneo company declare bankruptcy, it will be possible to go after Huma Indalo for funds.....other solicitors are apparently saying the same thing.

Until recently, you were defending Huma Mediterraneo, and kept insisting that the site would be built.  You just look more gullible/stupid with every post you make.

we all have choices and you like all of us made yours,maybe 4+ years ago,pity we have been now put in this situation but again 4 years or so have passed and Rolands B has since made another choice,it may be a good one but only time will tell for ohers who allso made that choice.

In an ideal world we would all be given full refunds,,with interest ,but we do not live in an ideal world so we have to make choices that we hope are the right ones to safeguard our hard earned cash.

Only tme will tell if we have since that wrong  choice early five years ago now made the right one.!
