Help! We are visiting a friend who lives 1.5 hr from Montpellier in South-west France, and want to get back to our home near Alicante in late July. We'd be very happy to share fuel costs and are two well-behaved travellers. Direct flights cost 800+ euros! ! Any help greatly apprciated. We thought getting back would be so easy...! Dont know if this helps but it is possible to do this by train;
Montpellier dep 0726 arrive Alicante 1724 total fare for two adults 180 Euros....
