advise needed satalite tv system

Hi every one,
we have a home on entre golfe near to villa martin, and like many in the area have lost our satalite tv, due to the operating company having their offices raided and broadcasting equipment confiscated.
I was looking into a new system but the day it was meant to be fitted we were told that they could not get onto the signal, so that leads me to beleive that that would not have been legal anyway!!
It was only after we lost the service on our last system that the installer told us that you could not leagally get sky tv in spain anyway, but they did not tell us that when they fitted it !
Luckily we got it fitted on a deal for 1 euro and did not pay for the year up front.
Can anyone give some advise on a good satelite tv company please.

The installer was correct, you cannot legally receive Sky in Spain as they only have a licence to broadcast within the British Isles. The only way you have of making sure your signal isn't cut again is to get your own dish, or go in with a few others to keep the cost down.

You really need to do your research first to know exactly what channels you will get from either freesatfromsky or freesat, I hope I've got the names correct.

This has been discussed at great length on the TV thread.  Trawl through these threads and print of the channels you should get then when you start ringing around you will know straight away whether the people are genuine or not.

From what I can understand from reading the threads on the Torrevieja forums there are a lot of people who are jumping on the bandwagon hoping to get your business.

It's going to cost a lot of money as you need a 1.8m dish and it's supply and demand.  There's a long waiting list and it's bound to get longer if Telmicro doesn't come back and the other re-broadcasters go the same way.  

If you have got room for the dish then I'd look at the T.....co.uk forum as someone on there has had one installed and is pleased with the service.
