Hi,

I am a medically qualified sonographer of many years standing and I have my own Ultrasound machine.
I would like to set up an ultrasound practice in the Torrevieja/Alicante area.
This would be for obstetrics - including 4D Baby Face scans and general abdominal scanning.
Does anyone have any advice regarding private medical practice in Spain and if there would be a demand at all and from the ex-pat community?

Thanks,

Cathy

Hi Cathy - a friend of mine is pregnant and uses the spoanish social system which offers this service. There are - down our way- many private clinics who outsource their proffessionals and in some cases a group of differing proffessionals get together to open up a clinic offering a combination of servies.

Im sure it would be taken up by expats who prefer to be dealt with in english.

How mant private clinics where you are thinking I have no idea - best bet would be to get on a plane come out and do some research before making the plunge.

Good luck
