Eric, JeanSis is right.  You don't know what nutters are watching!  Making contact details public is never a good idea as people will just end up receiving loads of spam and unsolicited contact.

JeanSis...I must get that edit facility finished!

Leigh1982, you'll find all you need to know about British schools in Spain at http://www.nabss.org/. These are of course private schools. For state-run Spanish schools I imagine you'll have to check out the local ayuntamiento (town council) for the area you are moving to.

Sorry to be thick, but where do I look see view a member's profile?

Ooops, I had better check my own now else JeanSis will be after me!

Anyway, back to the thread subject........What I think is a good idea for Eye on Spain would be a search engine on the forum. I think this has been mentioned before....

Sometimes a good thread gets "lost" down the pecking order, Paying Taxes in Spain for instance! Sorry, just had to advertise my own thread again!

Kind regards,

Durrrr, of course, silly me!

Why do we have Biography, interests and occupation on our profiles then?

What's the point if no-one can see that info!

Hi Fibby and JeansSis,

Just went into the 'My Forum' profile for a look and, you're right, you can't get into anyone elses hobbies etc.

Would be good to see if you also share interests with other people, but maybe again that's what the PM is for - other things other than property, after all it is a property and property related items website.

I would also love to see restaurant reviews (both bad and good!), as JeansSis already stated, there are a few other sites out there, and the only reason I leave the EOS site is for the restaurant reviews and 'what's going on' in you're own little part of Spain.

Can't criticise this site though, it really is a BRILLIANT help!!! as are all the members.

Sharon

I know this seems really feeble, but I would like to see/have some sort of link to your private mail we send on the website (apologies if anyone else has brought this up!) It's just really frustrating knowing that you have responded to someone/some query personally only to realise that you don't have a record of it! I know that you are not all as dippy as me, but it's really useful to have your "private message" linked to your personal email software, I believe.

Excellent suggestion Pitby (Jan)

Couldn't agree more, also, I would like an e-mail sent to my private address each time a new reply is posted to something I last posted, if you get what I mean!

I'd just like to know what on earth I've said on pm to others! - I know what they've said to me but a couple of days later have no memory (or record) as to my response - must be old age setting in! Have got to the writing lists stage at home to remind me what to buy when shopping only to stand in Sainsburys & realise the blasted list is on the kitchen windowsill. Happy days!!!

To be honest if you could see my hobbies I would be arrested so probably best not to as I have been very candid. Somehing I would like is some way of knowing if a reply to a PM is received. One assumes that the PM goes without problems but so often you hear nothing back whether on the threads or by a message back acknowledging the question has been answered or whatever. Think you know what I mean lady cat - number of times you get a reply to something you have written your e mail box will be full all day as you are such an avid contributor.

Love and xxxxx's
