How do you know when a solicitor is taking advantage of a person's vunerable position or that the money they request is valied and fair.

For example, our current solicitor has just asked us for 2.5k which is to pay for compulsery certificates to show to the creditors meeting which prove we won our court case in the first instance and at two appeals.

My question is, can 2.5k€ seriously be how much it should cost? We paid heavily for the court cases and surely the certificates should be included in this price.

And to add insult to injury, he demands the money is paid with less than 24 hours notice. I feel he has us over a barrel to some extent but also that he is taking complete advantage.

Let me word this differently!

Does anyone know how much Certificaciones Compulsadas de las Sentencias from the court should cost? We have been told that we need to pay for these Certificates to prove at the Creditors Meeting that we won our court case, both at the first case and appeal.

Oh dear, do I take that nobody knows anything about these Certificates? I'm just trying to find anything about them as a Google search hasn't shown anything up. I'm really after a cost for them which surely must be legislated - as I am being asked 350€ per certificate.

But I'd also like to know if it's normal to be asked to pay for a Certificate that shows you've won a case. Pleeeeease .... has anyone got any information??

I know nothing about the legal side of what your doing but surely wouldn't it be better to go to another solicitor to get the correct legal advise.
