Does anyone know a good tarmacking company in Granada province?  We need to tarmac our track and I want a good deal.  Does anyone have any views also on the relative merits of tarmac versus hormigon?  What are the implications in a hot climate for instance?

Come on you lot!  It's not often that I ask for advice.  Get your thinking caps on.

I'm sorry you  haven't had a reply yet eggie. I don't live in Spain yet but I did try to find something on the internet but it was all c**p.

Have you tried the free papers, or is there a a thing called yellow pages in Spain.?

Seems a strange one this, but perhaps my reply may jog a few thoughts from the expats in Spain.

Thanks Gerald for trying.  It is a difficult one.  I reckon there's got to be someone on this Forum with the expertise so I might just keep bumping up the thread every now and again, just in case.

Have you  tried the daft things, like asking the car mechanic at the garage, or if you have one, the pool cleaner?

Is there an advertising area in yout local supermarket (or even a not local supermarket)?

Could you place an advert in your local bar or even ask the bar staff?

Place an advert in one of the free papers.

I'm lucky I belong to an organisation in England where if I request help I usually get assistance from somewhere.

Hi,

Did the Yellow pages thing and came up with this for Granada Province

http://www.paginasamarillas.es/search/asfaltos/all-ma/granada/all-is/all-ci/all-ba/all-pu/all-nc/1?cu=asfaltos+en+Granada&ub=false

Only one of the companies listed seems to boast a website;

http://www.asfaltosluisfernandez.com

There was recently a resurfacing job carried out on the road from Castillo de Tajarja to Agron so perhaps the Town Hall in Castillo may have some information.

Work was also carrried out resurfacing some of the route from my village to Cacin so again perhaps Cacin Town Hall might be able to help in regard to the contractor. Dont try to email Cacin Town hall however... they seldom respnd to anything otehr tah personal visits or telephone.

Hope this helps

Thanks fb.  Just on my way out, so will take a look at the websites when I get back.  All the best.

Thanks again, fb.  I have just printed out the pages to take with me to Spain this week, so hopefully will get some prices and get the ball rolling.

Incidentally, I wonder if there is anyone out there who has any opinions/expertise on the relative merits of tarmac versus concrete in the South of Spain.  Any thoughts welcome.
