Cost of automatic swimming pool cleaner (suction or electrical driven)

Hi everybody

My wife and I live in Los Alcazares but are currently over in Australia for another month on holiday.

We are looking at the feasability of buying a automatic pool cleaner over here and shipping it

to LA, say with DHL, as we believe the purchasing price plus DHL costs may well still be cheaper than

buying it locally over there.  We have seen 2 popular makes over here namely;

Zodiac Baracuda T5 Duo and

Baracuda MX8

The latter is the robotic style cleaner and is probably our preferred option.

Can anybody please offer any advice about makes and purchasing costs from a local swimming pool store ie.

the one in San Javier or Los Alcazares industrial estate (on Torre Pacheco road).

Any information would be gratefully received on these 2 skimmer operated suction cleaners.

 The big robot ones are about 1,000 euro, we were looking the other day I think it was 896 euro.

Baracuda MX8 is 296 quid via ebay in the UK although it is sent from Texas and postal costs vary.

Also available from amazon.com (again US) for 284 quid (approx) - that's the cheapest but there are several third party retailers offering it at different prices, I imagine you could negotiate shipping costs.

Piscinas Online here in Spain sell it at 525 EUROS - Much easier to return if you have any trouble.
