I was thinking about getting my 9 year old a .22 calibre air rifle for Christmas this year. He's about the same age I was when I progressed from spud guns to gat guns / .177 and a .22.

I vaguely remember the law changing in the UK, I think a gun licence was required for an airgun? Is that right? Anyone any idea what the law is in Spain with respect to air rifles / guns?

So if you have 4 kids and a 5 seater you're breaking the law?

Most of the mums in our school car pool are blatantly breaking the law then.  I'm surprised trafico don't sit outside all the local colegios fining people.

Hi there,

We have an old Vectra B we use to ferry the kids about to football, judo, music etc and we sling the 3 kids in the back on booster seats (age 4, 7 & 9) and as the other one of us is usually working when we do this the front seat is always empty. I can't help thinking it would be far safer to put the older one in the front with a proper "across the chest" seatbelt as opposed to the belt type thing that exists in the middle seat at the rear. The car only has a driver's airbag so that going off in his face isn't a concern.

Anyone any idea on the law about this? I've seen kids in the front seats of vans but I've no idea what the law states.
