Does anyone know any shops or markets open on a Sunday in the Costa Blanca South area?

In Almoradi, but Dos Mares is not to far. Do you know the opening hours?

Dos Mares is open until 10 pm, but Eroski supermarket part does shut earlier. I think it's about 8 or could be 6pm this time of year.

In La Florida, back of Playa Flamenca, there is a supermarket open Sundays

Locally known as "Gamma" it shuts at 2pm though

All the other local large supermarkets around Playa Flamenca are shut on Sundays during the winter months.

There's a garage opposite the Torrevieja hospital which has a small supermarket, Supercor I think, open all day Sunday.  Items more expensive but if nothing else is open........

Hi Cynthia

You asked about markets too & I see no one has touched on these. You're in Almoradi, which has a brilliant Saturday market .. I know as I go each Saturday we're over in Guardamar.

However, you want markets on Sundays so here are three, not far from you.

Zoco market is by the roundabout over the AP7 by the Masa concrete works. Coming from Almoradi you'd come off the AP7 at jct 745

Campo de Guardamar market, commonly called lemon tree market, is off the CV895, commonly called lemon tree road, next to the El Raso urb. MASSIVE market with over 50 cafes too. (Best market in my opinion).

A new one at Dolores has recently opened but I've only heard about it from a friend who lives there, I think it's small.

Both markets get very busy and parking can be a problem.  Unless you want to waste a lot of time waiting for a car space I'd aim to to get there around 9 at latest.
