Servicta Estrella

I have just had 66 Euro taken out of my bank account for Servicta Estrella.

Can anyone tell me what this is.

     I believe this is an account charge (star service). A sort of account maintenance / adminstration fee. Depending on your bank it is charged monthly, quarterly, yearly or bi yearly.

    There is similar fees in the UK I believe.

    You probably were unaware when you signed up for the account that it was payable.

    Query it or change banks that do not include it.

At a rough guess you are with La Caixa...

I can confirm that it is an account maintenance charge.

If you have on-line banking (Linea Abierta) with them you can check the details by  opening the accounts page and clicking on the item in question.

Would suggest next time you are in Spain you have a chat with your bank manager as fees with La Caixa are generally negotiable.

Failing that you could take a trip to Alhama de Granada on your next trip and have a word with the manager at La Caixa; a gentleman called Snr Salvatore Guerrero; he speaks English and is well used to dealing with Brits. I can give you more location details if you need them.
